TOP STORIESDeutsche Bank Hiring Investment BankersJun 18 2009By Dona DeZube RELATED LINKSDeutsche Bank's head of Global Banking for the Americas, James DeNaut, told Reuters the bank has picked up 40 investment bankers in the past few months, including 12 from Merrill Lynch/Bank of America. And, he’s ready to hire more. “DeNaut said the bank had made most of its significant hires in financial institutions, so the focus areas going forward are likely to be the other sectors where it expects activity in the coming months -- industrials and raw materials,” Reuters reports. “As these new hires, many of whom are still on so-called "gardening leave" between jobs, begin work and bring new business, it could change how the rankings of M&A advisers, or league tables, look in the future,” Reuters speculated. The news service puts Deutsche Bank 15th in the Americas and 9th in global M&A. Currently, the bank’s online career Web site offers up 46 open positions for mid-career professionals at its offices in New York, Jacksonville, Houston, Chicago, Harborside, N.J., and Winston-Salem, N.C., including a fixed income team leader, an emerging markets corporate credit trading managing director and an emerging markets large-cap equities analyst vice president.
